ferraroBeginning Your Path to Wellbeing

Traveling afar to a tropical land where the sea is turquoise and the sultry air is sweet with the scent of frangipani and jasmine, you are completely present with your feet in the sugar sand as waves gently lap at the shore. And other sounds of water may bring you to stillness as it trickles down from the top of the island’s highest point and a gentle rain pours down from heaven above. With all of this wonder and beauty, it sweeps you away from life’s daily challenges reducing them to a mere fragment of time and insignificance.

Once or twice a year, we may put our lives on hold to bask in moments like this—taking a few days or even a week to get away.  We call it “getting away” but what we really saying and what does this really mean? What are we getting away from?  Is daily life so out of balance that it is now too cumbersome to deal with?  Are commitments too extensive they can no longer be handled realistically?  Is a new diagnosis so devastating to accept there’s a desire to just run away?  Is pure joy so unrecognizable in day-to-day existence that it is only appreciated and experienced when the daily routine is put on hold?

So what if the ultimate journey took you to a place that allowed you to smell the sweetness of life and a feeling of its abundance every single day—where you can see and feel your surroundings, knowing how your living environment serves you, or not. To know if your inner emotional living space is connecting with your outer physical living space and create balance with what is essential to your soul and your deepest desires for harmony in the life you live.  A new awakening to the choices and commitments you’re making that either fit or don’t fit with what you really want for your life.  A new sense of hope to lead you in overcoming illness, allowing for opening up to creativity, bringing forth meaningful relationships, creating new opportunities for abundance in work, play, rest and family life in balance, and best of all—appreciation for what is present, and moving you to a level of happiness. A connectedness—that makes you whole because your wellbeing is clearly defined and expressed.

Approaching your own expression of wellbeing begins with one moment at a time…allowing one moment in time to stand still.  Suspending time to a second, and another and then another. Noticing each one and knowing that when one second comes another will follow. Just notice and watch without thought… without expectation… without scrutiny!  Each one will come and go—each moment will just pass by. And, when it does just know that whatever passes will never exist again. When you notice time in this way, you will begin to experience a new appreciation for what is—YOU in this moment, right now!

This is the beginning of your journey to your own expression of wellbeing! 

When you give time to view your life as a moment of time this way, you become the journey in each of your days, giving new meaning to what is uniquely your own expression of wellbeing. How it feels, looks, tastes, sounds and even smells like. Just notice and when you are ready, jot down what comes through—the energy that is connected to these senses.  Did you experience good feelings?  And, were there any negative thoughts or sensations? Begin writing what you notice. 

And when you begin expressing what you notice in this way, allowing for your inner space to open up to a new energy, notice what is around you in your physical surroundings in this peaceful and still moment. Is your working and living space connecting to your inner space that you just experienced, giving you a sense of balance and clarity, or are you experiencing the opposite?  If you sense any blocked or stagnant feelings, or inability to clearly notice what is in the way, it may be time for a tune up of both your inner and outer living space.

This is a new beginning to your inner journey—welcome to your true path to wellness, where every month you will explore and achieve greater wellbeing through guidance based on many ancient healing traditions such as Feng Shui, Reiki, meditation and coaching that will transform your inner and outer self into feeling more alive and balanced in work and in daily life. When you become one with your external living environment and inner landscape of strength, you will live your dreams with purpose and passion, and you will feel all the joy you are meant to be here for.
