Creating Your Inner and Outer Landscape of Abundance
~ Ancient Productivity Tools for Generating Prosperity in Modern Times!
When you live and work in an environment that supports you physically, emotionally and spatially, you have enormous energy—right? You feel focused, your creative juices runneth over and you feel inspired! You are in the flow and on a roll! Otherwise, there may be a feeling as if you are shutting down mentally and physically rather than opening up to possibilities. There is one important word here—what you 'feel'!
Remember back to Part I—with the element of water receiving its power from the wind to gracefully move a boat across the water, or move the water downward to create a stream. When wind comes, you feel its effect, yet you do not actually see it. However, as the wind touches your skin, the air it carries may cool you, warm you and even move the hair on your skin in a different direction.
When water moves over you or through you, you feel its coolness, warmth, smoothness and possibly a pulsation that creates a rhythm-like sensation. The feeling you get from the wind and water is actually energy that generates a vibration to create currents, ripples and waves. Without this energy there is stillness. Yet stillness is energy as much as movement. So what are the currents, ripples, waves or stillness being created in your body, mind and spirit in the space of your every day life at home and in business? Is energy moving or is it still?
Tuning into the energy around you!
Using the principles of Feng Shui, imagine for a moment that you are that sailboat. Stand in your office, or the lobby of your business or in your living room at home. If you work from your home office, stand in the foyer of your home. Now tune in and ask:
Is there wind to move you through this space and currents of water to turn and direct you, or does it feel stagnant, still, rushing, closed in, overwhelming—or any other feelings you get.
Do you get the feeling of flow—are you energized in the space you are standing or sitting in, does it feel productive, creative and efficient?
Are you facing in a direction where you see clearly the opportunities that are before you? In your office—are you facing a wall or are you facing the door to see who enters?
Is your business lobby or foyer of your home open and clear? When you face toward the door looking out, is there a clear view, or are there columns, overgrown trees and shrubs, other buildings blocking your view, too much in this small space to move through it freely? If there is a blocked view from within, there is likely a blocked view from the outside that may reduce the ability for important people to clearly see you or even find you?
Do you use this front entrance, or are you entering through the back door? Would you expect guests, clients or prospects to enter through your back entrance, your garage or the emergency exit? Probably not!
When you enter, what do you see first? Is there a wall or a large cabinet that pushes you back out, clutter that creates a feeling of chaos, a door or large window on the opposite side that invites you to leave, a sharp turn to be made in order to get into the business, workspace or living area that creates confusion?
Feel the energy of what is working, what is not working energetically. What has you feeling motivated, creative, clear and energized? What is depleting you, draining your energy or shutting down your creative flow?
By tuning into this level of awareness of your environment and its effect on your mind-body, you begin to develop a way of balancing yourself within your environment. And when you are in balance with your environment, you are in harmony with nature’s natural tendencies—and you become more productive. And when you are more productive you manifest abundance in many ways.
